Ville de Cergy
The Grand Centre is the first district of the new city. Designed at the end of the 1960s, it reflects a desire for new forms of social life. The urban planners did not hesitate to put into practice very innovative concepts of space organization and gave great importance to the communal spaces and facilities, ferments of neighborhood life.
Through this guided tour proposed by a guide lecturer of the Tourist Office, (re)discover the emblematic buildings of the district, including the places recently labeled Remarkable contemporary architecture: the hotel of agglomeration, the Plants school, the current chamber of trades and crafts.
