The Axe Majeur-Horloge district is chronologically the second district of the new city, built in the 1980s. Located on a plateau overlooking the Oise loop, it offers an exceptional panorama of the Parisian west, particularly highlighted by the emblematic monumental work of the new city, the Axis Major.
Through this guided tour carried out by a guide lecturer of the tourist office, (re)discover the urbanism and the emblematic buildings of the district, including recently labeled places Remarkable contemporary architecture: the Axis major, the columns Saint Christophe and the housing Belvedere, the school of the Chanterelle, the Belle épine, the Tilleuls and the Terraces, the Lycée Galilée, the Lantern.
