Since September 2009, under the direction of Laurence de Magalhaes and Stéphane Ricordel, founders of the Compagnie des Arts Sauts, the Monfort theatre is dedicated to contemporary creation and the discovery of emerging companies.
Before hosting a theatre, the place occupied by the Monfort was successively dedicated to the vineyard, slaughterhouses, a horse market, the circus.... Built by architect Claude Parent, the theatre has the astonishing shape of a hexagonal pyramid 23 meters high overlooking Georges-Brassens Park.
