As part of the European Heritage Days and the 60th anniversary of 1962, come and discover a little-known yet emblematic place of memorial policies linked to the war of independence of Algeria and the fighting of Morocco and Tunisia. Inaugurated in 2002 on the promenade of the Quai Branly, the memorial is composed of three luminous columns in the colours of the French flag on which scroll the names of combatants and victims of the war of Algeria and the fighting of Morocco and Tunisia from 1952 to 1964. On the ground, a dedication recalls «the memory of the fighters who died for France [...] and that of all the members of the auxiliary forces killed after the ceasefire in Algeria, many of whom have not been identified».
