In 1944, Jean Marais, Yves Montand, Edith Piaf and Jean Cocteau inaugurated the cinema Le Rex. In order to avoid its destruction, Mayor Jean Vons decided to buy the hall in 1978\. The Rex enjoyed a notable success in 1966, and it never wavered. An independent, Art and Test-rated room, it is a partner of many devices and maintains a demanding programming that is aimed at all audiences. In 1970, the room was decorated in an Art Deco style, which earned it to be considered one of the most beautiful in France. In 2005, Mayor Georges Siffredi had it renovated respecting its authenticity and created a cinematographic space (2 rooms, 1 editing studio and 1 exhibition room). Anchored in its time - contemporary facade and digital equipment - The Rex cultivates the spirit of local cinema and the pleasure of discovery.
