Guided tours of the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines University Library
Saturday, September 17, 2022
Discover its architecture, its collections, its workspaces, its services and its educational innovation space, Le Cube. Not forgetting the exhibition "Pléiades" by Ségolène Perrot and his installation in situ of vitrophanias on 16 and 17/09.
Inaugurated in 2005, the university library draws its inspiration from the architect Le Corbusier to offer a privileged working environment.
Because BUs are no longer what they used to be, the library is responding to a new hybrid documentary offering (print and digital).
A resource place, designed as a package of services, on site and remotely, it is also a space to live for a student community for an individual or several work.
The tour of the library includes a presentation of its exterior and interior architecture, the spatial layout of the collections and services adapted to the new needs of the university community.
Exhibition «Pléiades» from 5 to 30 September 2022 in the multidisciplinary BU Expo of Ségolène Perrot: painting, photography, vitrophania Installation In Situ de vitrophanies on 16 and 17 September 2022 Ségolène Perrot develops a research focused on color. His pictorial works, photographs and installations offer an immediate and sensitive experience of reality and express his attraction for light, space and landscape. She composes vitrophanias with industrial coloured filters that she glues on the windows of the places where she is invited. On the campus of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, she installed vitrophanias in the Student’s House, the University Library and the large hall of the University. Her photographic work combines shots with color filters in a singular format that she calls Photocolor. His current pictorial work plays with the blurred contours of colors sprayed with the airbrush and these diffuse forms recall the colorful projections of his vitrophanies that vary according to natural light.
