Ein weiteres Jahr wird die Präfektur Seine-et-Marne Besucher begrüßen, die an den Europäischen Tagen des Kulturerbes teilnehmen möchten. Die Präfektur Seine-et-Marne hat sich im 19. Jahrhundert in der ehemaligen Abtei Saint-Père niedergelassen. Die Abtei, die älteste Klosteranlage von Melun, hat einen sehr wichtigen Einfluss auf die Geschichte und Entwicklung der Stadt.
Die Präfektur und das Hotel du Département, die 1999 renoviert wurden, befinden sich auf dem Gelände der ehemaligen Benediktinerabtei Saint-Père, deren Gründung auf das 7. Jahrhundert zurückgeht. Bereits 991 in einer Charta erwähnt, wird die Abtei im Laufe ihrer Geschichte viele Male zerstört. Die Benediktiner von Saint-Maur ließen sich 1654 hier nieder, übernahmen die Einrichtung, reformierten sie und bauten die Kirche zwischen 1665 und 1685 wieder auf. Während der Revolution lehrten einige Ordensleute noch in der Abtei. Von 1801 errichtete das Departement hier die Büros der Präfektur und die Wohnung der Präfektur mit französischen Gärten. Die Reste der Abteikirche, der Kelter, der Taube und des Schafstalls wurden 1806 zerstört. Der Wiederaufbau wurde 1874 abgeschlossen.

Another year the prefecture of Seine-et-Marne will welcome visitors wishing to participate in the European Heritage Days. The doors will open to let you visit the prefectural hotel and the gardens of the prefecture on Saturday from 14h00 to 17h00 and on Sunday from 10h30 to 12h30.
The prefecture of Seine-et-Marne was established in the 19th century in the former site of the Saint-Père abbey. The abbey, which is believed to be the oldest monastic settlement in Melun, had a very important influence on the history and development of the city.
The prefecture and the hotel of the department, redeveloped in 1999, occupy the site of the former Benedictine abbey Saint-Père, the foundation of which would date back to the seventh century. Cited in a charter from 991, the abbey will be destroyed many times during its history. The Benedictines of Saint-Maur settled there in 1654, raised the establishment, reformed it, and rebuilt the church between 1665 and 1685. During the Revolution, some religious still teach at the abbey. From 1801, the department installed there the offices of the prefecture and the residence of the prefect embellished with French gardens. The remains of the abbey church, the press, the dovecote, and the sheepfold were destroyed in 1806. Reconstruction was completed in 1874.

La prefettura di Seine-et-Marne si è insediata nel XIX secolo nell'antico sito dell'abbazia di Saint-Père. L'abbazia, che sarebbe l'istituzione monastica più antica di Melun, ha esercitato un'influenza molto importante nella storia e nello sviluppo della città.
La prefettura e l'hotel del dipartimento, ristrutturati nel 1999, occupano il sito dell'antica abbazia benedettina di Santo Padre, la cui fondazione risale al VII secolo. Citata in una carta nel 991, l'abbazia sarà distrutta molte volte nel corso della sua storia. La préfecture de Seine-et-Marne s'est installée au XIXe siècle dans l'ancien site de l'abbaye Saint-Père. L'abbaye, qui serait l'établissement monastique le plus ancien de Melun, a exercé une influence très importante dans l’histoire et le développement de la ville.
