The church of Saint-Martin in Mitry-Mory is one of the most beautiful examples of these Renaissance churches that were built between Brie and Valois.
Although the nave still needs to be restored, the vast choir is one of the architectural and iconographic marvels of the region; one can admire the magnificent chapel built under Henry II, whose ceiling remains an unsolved enigma to this day.
The church also has a 17th-18th century organ, which is one of the last witnesses of the French classical style; it does not have its equivalent in the Île de France. It can be visited with an internationally renowned organist. A concert will be given at 4:30 p.m.
