The Arp Foundation, a place of suspended time, is a direct testimony of the pioneers of modern art, Sophie Taeuber and Jean Arp. Forms and materials reign in harmony. An unexpected house, stone and concrete dancer, born of the desires of Sophie Taeuber more than 90 years ago. A workshop where the millstone mixes with nature, plaster with light, growth with concretion. A garden of sculptures with bronze reflections. Let yourself be enveloped by this haven of peace and inspiration, whether you are an experienced connoisseur or living your first date with the Arp.

The studio of Jean Arp and Sophie Taeuber in Clamart is a rare example of a house of artists who survived the disappearance of their actors.
Today, this workshop houses the Foundation whose contours Jean Arp had sketched several years before his death in 1966\. To promote knowledge and perception of his work alongside that of Sophie Taeuber. To welcome artists or walkers, art professionals or collectors, in search of an emotion, a message or a teaching.
A place of life and creation, a space for encounters and the unveiling of the work, Clamart’s studio is not a simple residence marked by the serenity and simplicity of the two artists. It is also an essential testimony to the perception and knowledge of their artistic work: to see the works in the intimacy and light of the workshop where they were born, Finding the traces of all nature that are preserved there allows a finer and stronger understanding than looking at them in the impersonal, even overwhelming, lighting of a museum.
