Vitrail de l'escalier principal du château des Tourelles, 2022 (Ville de Bois-Colombes/Direction de la communication)

The visit of the Tourelles Castle will be an opportunity to discover the history and architecture of this building, testimony of the wood-Colombian heritage of the Belle Epoque. Renovated in 2021-2022, the building will become, from October 2022, a contemporary artistic space.

About the location

Château des Tourelles
98 rue Paul-Déroulède 92270 Bois-Colombes
  • Hauts-de-Seine
  • Île-de-France
Located in Franklin-Roosevelt Square, Tourelles Castle was built in 1893 by Colombian architects Albert and Paul Leseine, to whom we owe many local public and private buildings, including Colombes. This eclectic 19th-century castle (a mixture of architectural elements from various eras, from Gothic to Art Nouveau) was a private resort house. Purchased in 1928 by the city of Bois-Colombes, it now houses meeting rooms for associations, the school caisse, the municipal library or even, the central office of the grant. From 1950, the castle of the Tourelles is rented by the City to the Social Security. Since June 2007 and the departure of the Social Security, the castle of the Tourelles was unoccupied. The building will be rehabilitated to accommodate, in 2020, an arts centre hosting exhibitions and artists in residence.
