My Lord, Marly!
Mediators in the rooms tell you (if you wish) Marly’s story. Located at the entrance to Marly Park, the museum of the Royal Domain of Marly traces, through its collections, the history of the former residence of Louis XIV, disappeared at the beginning of the 19th century. Paintings, prints, drawings and models represent the estate, the layout of the gardens and the exterior of the buildings. The interior of the royal pavilion is evoked by paintings and furniture.

The museum of the Royal Domain of Marly presents the history of the castle of Marly, designed and created by Louis XIV. This castle-garden was admired from all over Europe as well as its 8th wonder of the world, Marly’s machine which fed the fountains of the gardens. Only a privileged few are invited to share the king’s daily life during stays called Marlys. Marly’s uses are different from Versailles. This hunting residence disappeared at the beginning of the 19th century.
