Among the 240 fountains that adorn Paris, the Fontaine Molière, built near the house where the playwright died, is certainly one of the most beautiful.
Built by the architect Louis Visconti between 1841 and 1844 following a national subscription, it benefits from a remarkable sculpted decoration due to major artists, the sculptors Gabriel Bernard Seurre and James Pradier. Its restoration, conducted in 2022, allows to appreciate again this exceptional work, tribute to the father of all actors.
Free visit upon registration Registration opens on 8 September.
