Parcours architectural des années trente
RDV 7 place Denfert-Rochereau 92100 Boulogne-Billancourt
- Hauts-de-Seine
- Île-de-France
In the district of Princes, around a few streets, are built about twenty villas, residences-workshops and buildings signed by the greatest modern architects of the first half of the 20th century, such as Le Corbusier, Lurçat, Mallet-Stevens, Perret, Patout, Pingusson. Inspired by new techniques and materials, mass production, industrial aesthetics, factories and liners, they built a new architecture. But also alongside the modern, one can see the regionalist tradition with Courrèges, the neo-classicism to the example of Faure-Dujarric or the historical style interpreted by Faure-Dujarric. The whole making of this route a perfect manifesto and summary of the architecture built during the interwar period.
