Église Saint-Clair
Gometz-le-Châtel
Church of the 11th-16th century, listed in the Supplementary Inventory of Historical Monuments (1983) Overlooking the Yvette valley, the church of Saint-Clair, after escaping demolition in the 1960s, was the subject of important restoration work in 1985-1989 and 2015 . By the action of ASEGC (Association for the Preservation of the Church) its interior has been arranged:
* two elements of its furniture have been entered in the Supplementary Inventory: the confessional (1993) and the bell "Martinne" (2008).
* it was endowed with a set of contemporary stained glass windows "The Paths of Light" due to the master glassmakers Philippe and Christian Andrieux in 2004\.
* the project to restore the Way of the Cross is being launched. To make this church better known, ASEGC regularly organises church visits and concerts.
