L’Usage du terrain – Vitry

From MAC VAL, 3pm and 5pm

"The use of the ground – Vitry" The use of the ground – Vitry is a choreographic and collaborative research initiated by Rémy Héritier and his guests in the Audigeois garden, near the MAC VAL.
From the end of April to mid-May 2022, seven artists took turns in this garden to imagine a link between beings, bodies and produce choreographic pieces.
On the occasion of Heritage Days, smugglers joined them to receive a gesture or a story that they in turn pass on to museum visitors. To allow you to participate in this experience and to experiment with them, several appointments are proposed to you from the museum.
Artist and researcher, Rémy Héritier is the author of fifteen choreographic pieces presented in and outside the theatre. He has performed, among others, Boris Charmatz, Laurent Chétouane, Jennifer Lacey, Mathilde Monnier and Loïc Touzé. The use of the Vitry field was led by seven artists who, over the past ten years or so, have developed a path of authors in the extended field of dance: Djino Alolo, Nadia Beugré, Antoine Cegarra, Rémy Héritier, Anne Lenglet, Jean Baptiste Veyret Logerias, Ana Pi.
Co-productions: Studio Théâtre de Vitry, Briqueterie CDCN, Galerie Municipale Jean Collet, MAC VAL. This project is supported by the “New Worlds” scheme, the Île-de-France DRAC and the Île-de-France Region as part of the “Aide à la résidence territoriale”.

The MAC VAL is the first museum to be exclusively devoted to contemporary art in France. The artistic policy of the museum is precisely defined: contemporary art in France, and is exercised in a perspective of influence in order to propose the discovery of the art of our time to all audiences. The meeting is at the heart of the MAC VAL project: a unique collection that shows a strong commitment to the inhabitants and that contributes to the identity of the territory. Certainly the identity of MAC VAL rests above all on a humanist vision of culture. This peculiarity of the museum is part of the national and international museum landscape, accompanying the artistic policy based on the historical anchoring of the collection in the 1950s and its prospective vision: report on the creation of today through the enrichment of the collection of existing works and commissions, invitations to artists.
