History comes to life at Grosbois Castle thanks to the troops of grugnards and lovers of Napoleonic history.

On the occasion of this 2022 edition of the European Heritage Days, the Domaine de Grosbois is organizing, on Sunday 18 September, a convivial day around the First Empire. The festivities will begin with a lunch on the grass accompanied by the musicians of the BSL orchestra and will continue to the sound of the cannon with historical animations. A menu starting at 9€ will be proposed by the crêperie de Boissy "le Rdv d'ici".
On the program of animations: a military bivouac, demonstrations of Empire I dances orchestrated by Carnet de Bal and a game organized by the Cercle Historique de Boissy Saint Léger!
Children will not be left behind and will be able to enjoy dedicated activities with a puppet show 'Guignol déménage' of the Compagnie Bas-les-Pattes, small pedal sulkies, a play booklet in the museum of trot and pony baptisms (at 5€ by UCPA).

Considered a trot paradise, the Domaine de Grosbois is located just 15 kilometres from the Paris-Vincennes racecourse. This 412-hectare site has exceptional facilities dedicated to the daily training of trotting horses and can accommodate up to 1,500 horses during the winter meeting. In addition to its equestrian activity, the Domaine de Grosbois houses within it a castle classified as a Historical Monument as well as a museum dedicated to the history of the discipline of trot racing. The castle of Grosbois nestled in the heart of this green setting is a beautiful country residence of the seventeenth century with its facades of bricks and stones and its high roofs French. Inside, the castle offers a succession of lounges whose decor bears the mark of all the great French styles.
