The monographic exhibition "Living in Painting, Corinne Deville 1930 - 2021" presented at the MAHHSA from September 17, 2022 to January 29, 2023, enters into perfect resonance with the missions of the museum, namely to explore the multiplicity of links between art and psychiatry.
Corinne Deville is an artist who has never produced a work in Sainte-Anne. However, his artistic career is exemplary of these artists, who, whatever the vagaries of their lives, have always been able and able to maintain their imaginative and creative journeys; “against all odds”, as is the case for many artists in the Sainte-Anne Collection. So it is with Corinne Deville who, against all the adventures of her very long life, sometimes very happy, sometimes very difficult, pursued her vital need to paint and draw, to say, imagine and tell.
A real retrospective was in order. If the chronology, the themes, the differences in style, did not seem relevant and appropriate to speak of the specificity of this work, the latter are assembled according to what seems to be the essential questions of his life.

Built by Charles-Auguste Questel, under the direction of Baron Haussmann, the hospital is spread over 13 hectares, 7 of which are protected as indoor green spaces, for the quality of their plant species, their rarity and the architecture of the gardens. The hospital specializes in all brain pathologies with hospitalo-university activities (research). Guided tours, conferences, painting exhibitions... are organized there.
