Launch of the "Torchons de Jean-Jacques"
On the occasion of the retrospective of the painter Jean-Jacques Henner held in 2021 at the Museums of Fine Arts in Strasbourg and Mulhouse, the Jean-Jacques Henner National Museum in Paris has associated students of the University of Rhine Arts in Mulhouse around a competition.
The subject was an open graphic work, around the painter and his universe, proposed during a workshop led by the teacher and designer Frédéric Ruyant, in order to be published in the form of a tea towel.
Thirteen projects were submitted, all visible during this exhibition. Morgane Bourget, Ninon Rousseau and Simon Pineiros Leone were selected by the jury, printed and made in Alsace and will be available for sale at the museum.
With contributions from Jérémy Atkins Barrat, Marine Bosi, Lucie Da Rocha, Marine Farour-Boget, Marine Fuchs-Nieder, Solène Moulin-Charnet, Isis Nicolot, Cyrielle Pigeau, Lydie Serret and Suzanne Tate Aslahé.
The 13 tea towels will be on display from September 14 to 20, 2022. The 3 winning tea towels will be on sale at the museum’s shop.
