Created in 1985 in the former wash house of Châtillon (Hauts-de-Seine), now established in Clamart rue de Bièvres, the association wash house is entirely turned towards the exercise of a passion: ceramics, its contemporary expression and its teaching. Unique place in Île-de-France, well known by ceramists, collectors and students, the Lavoir presents the originality of being both an exhibition gallery and a training place. Thus, this place allows the meeting of the greatest and the youngest ceramists, who come to exhibit their work. It also offers a place for teaching ceramics, through courses and internships, a place of practice with the organization of “free” workshops where the most “experienced” can come and develop their art.
