The philosophy of the Hotel Boutet is related to that of its district. The enhancement of materials, whether raw or carefully worked, is one of the fundamentals of its aesthetics. In 1926, the Maison Boutet settled there and supplied the craftsmen of the industrious Faubourg Saint-Antoine in European and exotic wood. This cabinetmaker’s workshop, which later gave way to a chocolate factory, then became the scene of the life of a working and craft district, combining know-how and industrial impetus.
