Discover the Galeries Lafayette on Boulevard Haussmann
The Galeries Lafayette Haussmann opened on January 15, 1894. The dome, the most spectacular element of the Parisian store, was built in 1912. Decorated with colourful stained-glass windows and metalwork, it marks the beginning of the historical relationship between the company and contemporary artists. This work is also an opportunity to anchor the store in modernity and innovation by adding 20 elevators. Since then, the thousands of visitors who flock every day to the Boulevard Haussmann store have transformed this place of commerce into an emblematic monument of Paris Art Nouveau. The visit will reveal as many hidden spaces as artistic spaces. A suspended moment through the history of the Department Store, and its contemporary commitments.
Groups limited to 12 people. Registration required. Visits of 1h30.
