In July 2021, the Centre des monuments nationaux, the Association de Mise en Valeur du Château de Coucy (AMVCC) and the Aisne Department launched a new three-year excavation campaign in Coucy. A new survey has been carried out at the foot of one of the towers of the Poultry Court, raising new knowledge about the origins of the fortress of Enguerrand III.
