The museum of the Chartreuse, installed(settled) since 1958 in the old(former) convent of the Chartreux(Carthusian monks), proposes a rich collection of Fine Arts, mainly consisted by paintings(paints), sculptures and works of Italian, Flemish, Dutch and French art, dating from the XVth century to our days. This collection was established(constituted) from revolutionary seizures and regularly enriched throughout the XIXth and XXth centuries by important gifts(donations), as well as by purchases of choice(selection,choices,selections) and of deposits(warehouses) of the State become today local property. Buildings(Ships) are surrounded with gardens, a part(party) of which is being recreated in monastic gardens.
