Visit of the abbey enclosure and the remains of the abbey (foundations of the abbey square with its cloister, abbey house, refectory and chapter room). The history of the site is traced: its Cistercian abbey and its military occupation by a dozen squadrons of the Royal Flying Corps and the Royal Air Force during the First World War. According to the weather, a small exhibition and several works related to Beaupré, including a very recent book about the history of the aerodromes of the Presqu'île de Beaupré, will be proposed to the public.

Located in the municipality of La Gorgue (North), between Flanders and Artois, on the banks of the River Lys and near the confluence with La Lawe, the abbey of N.-D. de Beaupré-sur-la-Lys is a late Cistercian women’s house, around 1221, when the lords of Bethune of the time decided to give a larger monastery to a community of a neighbouring village. Beaupré, and his almost always constant community of a little forty nuns, managed to pass through all the crises and all the wars, seeing succeeding the Counts of Flanders, the Dukes of Burgundy and the sovereigns of Spain, and then moved to the Kingdom of France, before being suppressed by the Revolution. Beaupré was then dismantled for speculative purposes, with the exception of numerous substructures and the abbey farm, which only disappeared in the last century. During the Great War, the land and farm of the Abbey of Beaupré hosted a permanent British military airfield, where a dozen squadrons of the Royal Flying Corps and the Royal Air
