One of the architectural emblems of Lille, and conceived(designed) in 1907 by the architect Louis - Marie shoemaker (1854-1940), close to the Chamber of commerce established by itself. Site of the old(former) theatre of Lequeux destroys by a fire. Inaugurated in 1923 and renovated between 1998 and 2003, it establishes(constitutes) one of the most beautiful examples of Italian-style opera and of neoclassical architecture devoted to Arts.
