Discovery of the classified orchard of the castle and works undertaken to safeguard the old fruit trees.
Exhibition of old and regional varieties of apples and pears already identified and varieties being determined.
You can buy documents from the Apple Eaters' Bookstore.
Depending on fruit maturity:

  • fresh fruit juice (apples) pressed on the spot will be on sale: 1.50€ per litre (you can come with your container)
  • "fallen" fruit will be sold for €1 per kilo (collected by you).
    The recipes will be used entirely for the maintenance and restoration of the orchard by the Croqueurs de Pommes.
    Duration of a visit 1h, last departure at 17:30.

About the location

Château de Warlus

Built in 1688 by J.B. Bouquel, Lord of Warlus, the castle was partly destroyed by a fire. Only remained(subsisted) a wing, saved(spared) by flames. Restored in the XIXth century, property consists of a main house, a farm and a 12 hectare park containing hundred-year-old trees and bicentenaries.
