If there is one instrument that symbolizes the baroque period in the collective imagination, it is the trumpet. Making glory resound in the heavens and crowning great men with triumph, she also knows how to be suave and to compete with virtuosity with the voice, as proposed by A Great Roman Concert.
Alternating profane cantatas and baroque instrumental pieces, the virtuosos of the Hemiolia ensemble will transport you through 17th century Rome, discovering Corelli, Melani and Scarlatti.
On the occasion of this musical journey, the ensemble invited two renowned soloists, both winners of the Victoires de la Musique Classique, to explore this repertoire too little played: soprano Marie Perbost and trumpeter Romain Leleu.
