Having built in 1998 and conceived(designed) by the architects Emmanuel Blamont and Lou Caroso Neiva, old(former) partners of Jean Nouvel, the phoenix is one of the cultural facilities the most remarkable between Paris and Brussels. He(It) is a member(part) of the patrimonial landscape of Valenciennes beside historic buildings as the church Saint-Géry or the French administrative subdivision. The Phoenix is equipped with a big(great) theatre of 760 places(squares), a studio of 177 places(squares) and several spaces of repetitions(rehearsals).
