To celebrate its 40th anniversary, the Centre Régional de la Photographie Hauts-de-France in Douchy-les-Mines is invited to various structures of the Region to share with visitors its collections. The Centre Historique Minier will present a selection of photographs by John Davies. Born in 1949 in Sedgefield, Durham County, John Davies is a British photographer who has placed his camera in the North of France, near Béthune. Landscapes of the mining basin, the terrils have modified the very structure of the territory and gives the opportunity to the photographer to create some variations around this geographical particularity.
An appointment is scheduled on Sunday 18 September at 3pm to meet and exchange with the artist.
