Designer costume designer, graduate of the University of Arts of London, Camille Bloch is a multidisciplinary artist. From her studio at the foot of Pierrefonds Castle, she works with fabrics, wood and painting. The surrounding forest and the lively life of the village deeply inspire his creations. As for his Artefacts - a kind of carved curiosity cabinets combining cabinetry, painting and sewing, they draw from the plant and animal universe of Eugene Viollet-le-Duc. As of September 2022, the Centre des monuments nationaux is presenting an extraordinary model of the Salle des Preuses (closed for restoration) at Pierrefonds Castle, designed by Camille Bloch.

Built in the XVth century, dismantled in the XVIIth century, recreated on order of Napoleon III, Pierrefonds is an interpretation(performance) of Middle Ages and of Renaissance. Remarkable for the perfection of the decorations(sets) of the imperial apartments, the castle also receives a permanent exhibition on the restoration(catering) led by Viollet-le-Duc and on the foundries of art Monduit. Cellars done up with sounds and lights: “The ball of gisants”.
