On the program of this back-to-school day for schoolchildren of Pierrefonds, an expedition in the park and then in the rooms of the castle with the help of a road book, filled with puzzles and observation games. A fun and independent journey to learn everything about the close bond that the castle has had with nature since the origins of its construction.

Built in the XVth century, dismantled in the XVIIth century, recreated on order of Napoleon III, Pierrefonds is an interpretation(performance) of Middle Ages and of Renaissance. Remarkable for the perfection of the decorations(sets) of the imperial apartments, the castle also receives a permanent exhibition on the restoration(catering) led by Viollet-le-Duc and on the foundries of art Monduit. Cellars done up with sounds and lights: “The ball of gisants”.
