The Boucher de Perthes Museum presents rich and varied collections. The archaeological section testifies to the region’s past. The natural history collection brings together an important collection of birds. Finally, a prominent ensemble illustrates the evolution of fine arts, with precious sculptures and paintings from the 15th and 16th centuries, important paintings from the 17th and 18th centuries and modern works by Camille Claudel and Alfred Manessier.

Arisen from the fusion(merger) of two institutions abbevilloises of XIXe S., the collections of the museum are marked with the encyclopaedic spirit of time(period) and concern numerous domains therefore. The natural history reminds us the closeness of the Somme Bay, recently entered in the circle of the most beautiful bays(berries) of world. The devolved section in Fine Arts conjugates paintings(paints) and sculptures of the XVth century in XIXe S.
