Children are invited to listen to the story of Louis Motte-Bossut and his spinning mill, to touch fabrics related to the textile and to realize their "Box'Factory": a set of colored bricks intended to give color back to the factory!

Building(Ship) builds in several phases: On 1864 (current hall of exhibition(exposure)) then 1866-1876 then 1891 and finally 1905 (2 crenellated towers marking the entrance(entry) of the factory on the boulevard). The national archives of the working world are installed(settled) in the old(former) cotton shadowing Motte-Bossuet, real castle of the industry mixing(involving) neo-medieval architecture and English industrial architecture of the XIXth century. Rehabilitation between 1989 and 1993 by the architect Alain Sarfati.
