Come by night to discover the church and its cemetery as you have never seen them. Light up with a torch and let yourself be guided for a guided walk.

Les Amis de l'Église de Mont welcomes young and old alike for an exciting nocturnal discovery of the remarkable Mont-devant-Sassey building by the light of the torches (provided on site).
Torch in hand in the hushed silence of the night or on the background of Gregorian songs, one discovers in a very different way the secrets of history of the medieval building and the forest formerly populated by Celtic druids.
The walk commented under the Romanesque vaults, in the mysterious lower church and between the funerary buildings of the old cemetery, will make you discover the unsuspected treasures of the almost millenary sanctuary.

Built in freestones from 1127 by the canonesses d' Andenne, she receives(holds) treasures of Romance and Gothic architecture. Its octagonal covered hall of the XIIIth century, the most old(former) northeast of France to have kept(preserved) its sculptor of origin, presents an exceptional iconography. The pentagonal Romanic chorus(choir) covered there cul-de-four and flanked(thrown) by two absidioles, the short transept and the central vessel of very uncluttered ogival style, show an amazing homogeneity. The crypt perforated on double row of columns is remarkable.
