Visible from the quay of Peceaux, this 13th century tower is the best preserved vestige of the walled enclosure that would encircle the city of Joinville in the Middle Ages.
Located in a private property, it is exceptionally open to visitors.

The round tower of the Quai des Peceaux has been protected as a Historic Monument since 1942\. Now integrated into the private houses on the left bank of the mill’s reach, this tower is the only remnant of the 1.2 km of fortifications that surrounded the town of Joinville.
