Free discovery of the Alsace-Moselle Memorial, a place of visit for all, which addresses the Second World War at the heart of its exhibitions, and offers, above all, a tour route tracing the daily life of Alsatians-Mosellans over the years, since 1870.

The Alsace Moselle Memorial is the fruit of a regional will.
The Alsatians and Mosellans changed their nationality 4 times between 1871 and 1945\. Through an immersive and dynamic scenography, the Alsace Moselle Memorial reveals the special history of these territories, from 1870 to the present day, especially during the period of the Second World War.
From 1940 to 1945, Alsace and Moselle were the only part of the French territory to be annexed de facto to the Third Reich and to know the extreme violence of a totalitarian regime.
This situation cannot be understood without going back in the footsteps of a region long disputed by France and Germany, and today rich in the cultures inherited from this long struggle.
This place offers a lesson in history that is universal and teaches us the need to unite Europeans in their diversity and respect for the dignity of each one in order to offer them peace and freedom. The final area is devoted to the construction of Europe.
