The Hotel de Gargan (renamed Résidence d'Hannoncelles) was built in 1869, after four years of work, by Baron Théodore de Gargan, a wealthy ironmaster, in place of the old buildings that stood at this place. The design and drawing up of the plans are entrusted to Monsieur Georges, renowned architect of the city of Metz. It is now the newest hotel on Rue aux Ours. It has a French garden located within the building. The social landlord Logiest has been the owner of this residence since 1977 and offers 25 rental units.
