Discover the statues of the estate.

Absent for long months for some beauty treatments, the statues are back in all their majesty. Miss Maria. K will shed her light as a tragic actress, expert in mythology, on the history of the statues of the park of Lieu d'Europe.
What are they? Who is Vulcan? Where did Mercury (Hermes), the eighth missing statue, fly away? What do the emblematic figures of the Rhine and the Moselle evoke in the history of Alsace and the Moselle, but also of Strasbourg? What was the place and role of the four elements in European mythological narratives? And how does the Europe of today analyse and treat them when ecology is at the heart of its priority projects?
Miss Maria. K will also tell you about the mineral and Strasbourg resurrection of these eternal myths and invite you to reflect on what is involved in restoration, on what is expected of it.
Restore “in the same way” or offer the past the look of the present?
The visit will end with a (re)creative, choral and citizen reappropriation of this heritage - unless it is a matrimoine: almost all the statues are female allegories - by the spect-actors and spect-actresses!
