From the sauerkraut factory to the laugh factory: discover a unique theatre in the heart of Strasbourg.

The Théâtre de la Choucrouterie has been in existence for more than 30 years, and is located in the heart of the Finkwiller district, in downtown Strasbourg. A former sauerkraut factory, it has been completely transformed to accommodate, in particular, satirical reviews that are played for four months, in two simultaneous theaters. With the large hall (98 seats) and the small hall (71 seats), the Choucrouterie welcomes more than 10,000 spectators each year.
But did you know that, under the stage of the great hall, there are still sauerkraut tanks?
Come and discover the Theatre, its halls and its history.

Historically, a real sauerkraut factory occupied this place with its courtyard before being transformed into a cabaret.
With its 2 small concert halls (71 and 98 seats), the Chouc' as people who love it call it, however, attracts more than 10,000 spectators per year. And this with an average of more than 300 performances per year.
If genres and styles are crowded, the Chouc' has made itself known for its cabaret, its satires and its original look on the news. Alsace is a lan
