The History Society of Bartenheim and surroundings (SHBE) offers a visit to discover the architecture of the village of Stetten.
Discover half-timbered houses, the oldest of which date back to 1680.

The village developed away from the present departmental road and was first mentioned in 736, when the convent of Murbach obtained property from Count Eberhard in Eistatis. The abbey of Murbach and the convent of Einsiedeln then the Basel administration owned vineyards and land on the ban of the Commune.
From the hands of the Habsburgs, Stetten passed into the hands of the king of France in 1648\. Spared during the First World War, the village was evacuated in 1939, but was not affected by military operations.
Over the years, Stetten gradually lost its agricultural character and since 2001 has slowly grown from 274 inhabitants to 352 today.
The Commune benefits from a heritage of exceptional Alsatian houses of which the oldest date from 1680.
