Discover the museum and its incredible collections.

Come and admire the oldest meteorite in Europe, whose fall was observed and the main mass preserved at the Regency Museum. Its age is estimated at 4.55 billion years, more than our own planet Earth!
Discover its incredible history and how its fall was at the origin of a battle between the Holy Roman Empire and France.
You are not at the end of your surprises, because the Regency Museum retains another object of great rarity in its archaeological section: the oldest skull found in France having had a double trepanation and dating from - 7000 years. A technical feat in the time of flint!
Preserved in the museum since its discovery in 1996 on the site of the Grants of Ensisheim, it presents exceptional medical features for the time.
Organization of a sale of a first series of 100 roof tiles at the price of 20 € piece, as part of the crowdfunding of the restoration of the Regency.

Housed in the Regency Palace built in the 16th century by the Habsburgs, the museum presents three fabulous collections: an archaeological section mainly focused on the Neolithic period, a historical section that traces the evolution of the City of Ensisheim over the centuries (not forgetting the famous meteorite that fell in 1492) and finally, a space that presents the history of potash mines in Alsace.
After two years of closure due to works, the museum entered the air of 2.0 with several multimedia innovations. It also offers free of charge to chil
