This prieurale Romance church was based(established) by Hildegarde de Büren, wife of the duke de Souabe Frederick, ancestor of Hohenstauffen. Built in the second half of the 12th s., it follows a rotunda raised(brought up) by Hildegarde in 1087\. Altered in the 12th s. by the Jesuits in baroque taste, she was restored in Rhenish neo-Romanic style from 1875 till 1893.
