Old(Former) palace of the Diet of Alsace-Lorraine then Parliament, this building(ship) was built by the architects August Hartel and Skjold Neckelmann, from 1888 till 1892\. It is one of the major buildings of the town planning scheme executed in Strasbourg during the annexation of Alsace-Lorraine. Since 1957, a theatre with a room of circular plan occupies the posterior part(party) of this palace of style neo-Renaissance; it was drawn in 1950 by the architect Pierre Sonrel in collaboration with Michel Saint-Denis, director of theatre.
