Guided tour of the exhibition «Life in the Neolithic»
The exhibition reveals the different aspects of the daily life of Neolithic Men in Alsace, based on the latest archaeological discoveries.
The discoveries of major sites testify to the new economic forms, technical innovations and societal developments that appear and characterize the Neolithic in Alsace.
The Neolithic period, the last period of prehistory, marks a frank break with the past. From a nomadic life of hunter-gatherers, men become sedentary and practice agriculture and livestock. They also develop new techniques with the invention of ceramics and polished stone work. These major changes will have a lasting impact on their lifestyles: the Neolithic revolution!”
