The Image'Est association, created in 2009 by film and audiovisual professionals in the region, has three main missions:
* support for the dissemination of regional film and audiovisual creation, in particular with the coordination of the regional Focus Film Grand Est,
* the coordination of the Regional Pole of Education to the Images for the four departments of Lorraine with the aim of transmitting the culture of the cinema, to train in the mastery of the cinematographic language and to promote the sensitive experience of the creation from the youngest age,
* the collection, digitization and preservation of the audiovisual, cinematographic and iconographic heritage of the Great East, already relying on rich collections of nearly 30,000 amateur films and more than a million photographs.
