Presentation of the «Liber Vitae» obituary of the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, a 14th century manuscript recently restored.
The Liber Vitae, or obituary of the Church of Notre-Dame, is a 14th century register that contains the list of the deceased for whose anniversary the parish was to celebrate an office. Written in Latin on parchment and richly decorated, it is one of the most precious documents kept in the Municipal Archives. It was recently restored by a Master’s student in Heritage Conservation-Restoration at the School of Condé.
Visit commented continuously on Saturday by the archivists.
Presence and presentation of the restaurant on Sunday.
The restorer will present to the public the result of her restoration work, the techniques used, as well as the historical and scientific research carried out on the medieval manuscript.
