On a 1/10 scale, more than 13 meters long, this model allows to discover a mythical submarine, launched in Brest in 1967 under the impulse of General de Gaulle.
The first of the French SNLE (nuclear missile launch submarine), the Redoutable played a leading role in the French deterrence program from its launch in 1967 to its withdrawal from active service in 1991.
Temporary exhibition from 17 September 2022 to 30 December 2023.
In partnership with the National Navy.

Place of living history(story), the Memorial Charles de Gaulle is rich in a big(great) variety of supports(media) imagined by the stage designers of Nausicaa, Christian Le Conte and Geneviève Noirot: decorations(sets), movies about huge screens, multimedia borders, sound(resounding) creations, written comments, dioramata, sound and audiovisual archives.
