Monumental work on the Ephemeral Garden

As part of the 19th ephemeral garden and, in connection with the National Congress of Fire Fighters, a monumental work of more than 4m will be unveiled in Stanislas Square.

The Ephemeral Garden, a cultural event in Nancy, showcasing the urban ecology and know-how of the City’s gardeners, attracted more than 655,000 visitors in 2021. The collective adventure is more and more beautiful.
This 2022 edition is open to the public from September 23 to November 1. Its editing is scheduled from September 12 to September 22.
The ephemeral garden is free entrance and various free animations are offered to the public throughout its presentation. It is now part of the life of the inhabitants and attracts more and more tourists every year. This year, as part of the Journées du Patrimoine, Mr.Thiébaut Chagué will create a monumental work in Grés Céram, 4.5m high by 1.25m in diameter, called «Le Phénix». To do this, during the installation of the garden and accompanied throughout by firefighters, he will cook on the Place, a cooking at 1 300°C, for 2 days. He will unveil his work during heating, incandescent and glowing on Friday, September 16 from 9:30 pm and the final unveiling will take place once the work cools on September 17 during the lunch time.
