Meyenheim, a village to discover in every corner.

Take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage and observe the chapels and crosses of the village with the departure to the multipurpose room.
On reservation.
Admire an exhibition of photographs of the village of yesterday and today, the old shops and houses destroyed during the war, with more than 1,500 visible photos. You can also see a basketry workshop and/or a commented slide, always in the multipurpose room.
At noon, you will have the opportunity to have a meal with grilled meats and dessert for €15.

Meyenheim is a French municipality located in the historical and cultural region of Alsace.
Although the first mention of the village dates back to 1187 traces of occupation of the territory date back to the Bronze Age.
The municipality is particularly well known for the 132 Colmar-Meyenheim air base built in 1955 to redeploy units stationed in Germany. The base was officially named 132 Air Force Base "Commandant René Pépin" on 25 May 1963\. Born on April 3, 1905 in Cherbourg, René Pépin is an Air Force pilot who disappeared in action on June 15, 1940, when he was deputy commander of the II/7 fighter group.
On June 16, 2010, the flag of the BAO (Air Base Operations) 132 is folded, to join the historical service of the Defence/ Air Force in Vincennes. Air Force Base 132 is disbanded. On July 1, 2010, at midnight, the facilities of the former air base were renamed Colonel Dio neighborhood and transmitted to the Army.
