Discover a multi-site exhibition: Municipal Archives, German Gate, Saulcy University Library, showing how the city of Metz has transformed.

During the period 1950-1960, the city of Metz was transformed, with on the one hand the fight against unsanitary housing and urban renewal which led to a renewal of the heart of the city, and on the other hand an extension in the periphery marked by the politics of the large estates.

The local Archives of Metz keep(preserve) the written patrimony of the municipality for the year ten hundred and are located in the cloister of Récollets and the old(former) reservoir of water of the hill Sainte-Croix.
